Mr. Li Zhenning, senior economist and reformer. While still studying as a graduate in university, Mr. Li participated in reforms of the economic system in Chinese rural areas. His translation team successfully translated Kornai,J’s " Economics of Shortage " and he authored two publications with the name of "Kornai Economic Thinking and Studies".which have had a widespread impact on the academic arena.

 

In 1985, he started working for the Institute of Chinese Economic System Reform, focusing his research on the impact of western equity ownership and securities markets on Chinese market reform. He was among the first economists who understood the international equity markets and participated in share trading.

 

In 1990, he began working in the financial securities industry and has held consultant positions for a number of listed companies in China. He was one of the earliest advocates and practitioners in China's securities market, promoting bargain hunting and rational investment.

 

Among the first investors in the domestic private funds market, He has worked as an investment consultant and managed investments for dozens of large corporations, including Air China.

 

In 2001, he was invited by the CSRC to join the research team on "how to resolve full circulation problems" which was designed to help with Share Reform of the securities market.

 

In 2007, he was named "Outstanding Contributor to China's Financial Industry 2006."
